Memories of
Betsy Lehotay

I went
to jr. high at Parkway as did so many others who
eventually went to Stranahan or Plantation.
Betsy and her twin brother
Andy were close “buds’ in 8th and 9th grade. We
hung out together a lot along with Larry Murrah,
Kent Whipple and with Annette and Donna Petrizzi.
She and Andy were members of the MYF (Methodist
Youth Fellowship) at Melrose Park Methodist. The
last I saw of them was at my going away party
held when I moved northward. I’m deeply sorry to
know of Betsy’s untimely death. She was always
sweet, laughing and ready to give of herself.
